Most similar to smoking, mouth-to-lung vapes will allow smokers to have the same inhaling sensation as smoking cigarettes.

It is also possible to begin with a high nicotine ratio and cut back slowly. This can make this type of device ideal for those trying to quit smoking. They come in two styles:

  • Vape pod device: These come with an insertable cartridge and can be puffed like a cigarette. They are very simple to use, although a little more expensive.
  • Vape pen device: These have a button that powers them on and off. They are a bit more complicated as they have a coil and battery that must be changed regularly. Pen devices also have a tank that you fill with the vape liquid of your choice.

Direct-to-Lung

When you see someone vaping and they are making large vape clouds, they are most likely using a direct-to-lung vape device. They do not have the same inhaling sensation as cigarettes and, because of this, are not recommended for use in this way.

Direct-to-lung devices also come with lower-nicotine content liquid, so the side effects when making a switch from cigarettes would be much more dramatic.
